해외 대학간 무선랜(WiFi)을 공동으로 사용할 수 있는 국제 WiFi 로밍 서비스(eduroam)에 가입함에 따라, 해외대학 방문 시 별도의 회원가입 절차 없이 교내에서 사용중인 HEMOS-ID로해당 대학의 WiFi 서비스를 이용할 수 있게 되었습니다. 해외 대학에서 WiFi 사용 시 참고하시기 바랍니다.
추가로, 일부 국내대학에서도 eduroam 서비스에 가입되어 있으므로, 국내 대학 방문 시에도 WiFi 서비스를 무료로 활용하시기 바랍니다.
□ eduroam(education roaming) 서비스
에듀롬(eduroam, education roaming)은 국제적인 연구 및 교육 커뮤니티를 위한 글로벌 Wi-Fi 로밍서비스입니다.
에듀롬 가입 구성원은 대학 POVIS 계정(이메일주소/비밀번호 등)으로 추가 인증 절차 없이 전 세계 에듀롬 협력기관(연구소, 대학교 등)의 무선랜을 이용할 수 있습니다.
□ POSTECH eduroam 이용자격 및 이용방법
- 이용자격 :
- POSTECH POVIS 계정을 발급받은 POSTECH 구성원 (문의 : 279-2516)
- eduroam 계정을 발급받은 전 세계 에듀롬 사용자
- 이용방법 :
- eduroam Wi-Fi(SSID)에 발급 받은 Eduroam 계정으로 로그인
– POSTECH 구성원 : HEMOS-ID@postech.ac.kr (메일주소), Password 입력
– 방문객 : 소속기관ID@소속기관domain, password 입력 - Windows 계열은 무선랜 프로파일 설정 필요 (안드로이드, 맥OS 계열은 제외)

□ 보안정책
- 교내에서 eduroam 이용 시 본교의 보안정책을 준수해야 합니다.
- 인터넷 정책 : 인터넷 서비스 별 대역폭 제한 및 주요포트 차단 운영 (보안 사고 발생 시 개인 책임 및 패널티 부과)

How to use eduroam service
By signing up for the international WiFi roaming service (eduroam), which allows inter-universities to jointly use Wi-Fi, the university’s WiFi service is available on campus with the HEMOS-ID, which is being used on campus without a separate membership process.
Please refer to it when using WiFi at overseas universities.
‘eduroam’ is a brand name for global wireless roaming service which is provided by 11,492 universities
and research institutes of 69 countries over the world. When you visit domestic or international universities or research institutes,
if you find ‘eduroam’ SSID, your id and password for eduroam service is same as your portal ones.
